What's in Store for North Rampart?!
Saenger Theatre 2013

The Saenger Theatre's extensive redevelopment project is currently underway with a planned GRAND RE-OPENING in August 2013. The $52 million project features an authentic restoration of the original 1927 design, including restorations and recreations of the original finishes and color schemes. New, state of the art building and technical systems including an expanded theatre stage house will ensure that the Saenger will be available for use by performing arts organizations, presenters and promoters from across New Orleans, the region and the nation.

Renovations in the Saenger will include:
• New, plush, vintage styled theatre seating
• Restored 1927 paint scheme throughout
• Restored historic lighting fixtures throughout
• Recreated grand chandeliers in the Arcade lobby
• New Theatre box office on Canal Street
• Renovated marquee signs including new vertical sign on Canal Street

Where Ya Rack?
The Young Leadership Council's Where Ya' Rack? program provides the opportunity to take part in the revitalization and rejuvenation of the City of New Orleans. The program allows the community to receive new bicycle parking racks while providing sponsors permanent recognition.

Be on the lookout along North Rampart for bike racks purchased by NRMSI through the Where Ya’ Rack? Program. We partnered with PUFAP, Marcello Properties and Perrin & Francher Real Estate to purchase 5 racks - hopefully, we'll need more in the near future!

Excitement is in the Air!
In a few years, North Rampart will be a more viable and productive main street venue that will certainly attract not only tourists and locals alike, but also new businesses wanting to get in on the growth. The new line will connect North Rampart to the Central Business District (which includes the Mercedes Benz Superdome and New Orleans Arena) and the train/bus terminal. It's completion date of the Summer of 2015 gives ample time to freshen up the "exterior" of the businesses on the street, and promote the future of what can be the biggest boost to the economy in this area.
